One Great Voyage, The LG Voyager
After two years, two long years of waiting. Verizon Wireless has finally released a mobile device with a browser that was unsullied by their atrocious branding and lack of features. I recently purchased the Voyager by LG Electronics and I must say although I don’t believe it is the iPhone killer it was touted to be, it is an excellent phone with a host of great features that seems quite durable and well made. I found the HTML browser to be quite snappy with a decent rendering time and the text zoom feature worked surprisingly well. The phones design is very attractive, although I think the icons are not as sweet looking as the iPhones they are quite nice looking. The speaker phone has amazing clarity and volume(The best I have heard yet actually) and I love the spacing of the QWERTY keyboard keys. Besides the browser, I think my my favorite feature is the organization of the contact book, it is much improved and very intuitive.
Some of the LG Voyagers Features and Specs:
- Large 2.81″ External Touch Screen

These are just a few finer points of the LG Voyager and is by all means not an all exclusive list. Although this phone isn’t as posh as the iPhone I do believe that it is certainly as enjoyable to use and the fact that it runs on a stronger network backbone than AT&T is a boon as well. I think with this models success, that the next version will be even stronger and I look forward to it.
What are your thoughts on the LG Voyager? Like it, love it or hate it?

This article was good, but I still want a iPhone. It’s too bad Verizon couldn’t come to terms with Apple for the rights ![]()

I have been meaning to look closer at this phone. I was thinking of leaving T-Mobile for Verizon and I thought this phone looked cool. Now that I have read this I think I will pop into the store tomorrow and check it out.
Cheers!

I sold my iphone just to buy the Voyager and I have absolutely no regrets. The full html browser now allows scrolling before the whole page loads. This is similar to the iphone and grewatly speeds up the browsing experience. Mobile youtube on the Voyager gives you the same experience as that other phone with the added ability to read comments. I have owned both phones and The Voyager is better.

The iphone is really great at videos and music, but the LG Voyager leaves the iphone in dust. The voyager is better to handle, faster to type with, and it has more features. I love the LG Voyager.
